Once you have tried my quick and easy chocolate brownie recipe, I don’t think you will want to try another brownie recipe again. This recipe makes delicious, moist brownies with a classic crisp top. It’s perfect on it’s own or a great base recipe to add extras. This time I added Oreo biscuits but you could add whatever you fancy; white chocolate, salted caramel, raspberries, snickers, after eights, strawberries, cream eggs, baileys, coffee… the possibilities are endless.

Oreo’s worked really well because the biscuit added an extra crunch and the white cream filling added an extra splash of colour. The recipe below is my standard quick and easy chocolate brownie recipe and then you can add whatever your heart desires. This recipe doesn’t requite any creaming, folding or whisking, its super quick and easy. Put all the ingredients in a large bowl, combine well, bake and lick out the bowl!

- 275 g baking spread
- 375 caster sugar
- 4 free range eggs
- 75 g cocoa powder
- 100 g self raising flour
- 100 g Cadburys Bourneville chocolate melted
- 1 packet of Oreo's
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Into a stand mixer or large bowl, add the baking spread, caster sugar, eggs, cocoa powder and self raising flour.
Mix until well combined. Pour in the melted chocolate.
Cut up the Oreo's into quarters. Add 1/3 to the mixture and stir.
Pour mixture into prepared tin and sprinkle the remaining 2/3 of Oreo's. Gently push the Oreo's into the brownie mixture with your hand.
Bake for 25 - 30 minutes until a crust has formed on the top of the brownies but it still feels soft and gooey underneath.
I used a 12" x 10" baking tray but you can use whatever you have available.
